Welcome to the national office for the U.S. National Science Foundation’s Regional Resilience Innovation Incubator (NSF R2I2) program. The national office serves as the central hub for a nationwide network of NSF-funded R2I2 project teams.
Our core purpose is to help translate and amplify cutting-edge research into practical, localized strategies that build a more resilient future across the United States. We are focused on fostering collaboration, sharing essential knowledge, and connecting teams with partners across sectors to accelerate scalable, real-world solutions.

The 2026 R2I2 Annual Meeting brought together project leaders, National Science Foundation (NSF) program officers, and national resource partners in Minneapolis on September 17–18. The meeting followed a pre-meeting gathering and tour of the St. Anthony Falls Laboratory on September 16.

As we drafted our Year 1 annual report for NSF, we pulled together a few highlights to capture the work of the RNO since September 2025.
Our efforts focused on establishing national network infrastructure, creating foundational support services and shared tools, and organizing peer learning and knowledge sharing opportunities through network engagement groups.
